MYTHICAL TIMES
The mask as adornment, as a theatrical and warlike offensive, as a propitiatory tool in the great march of death, participates in the ritual of the living and the funerary, of comedy and the venerable. It is remembered there, in the tumulus or the excavation, in the chest and the treasure, there on the body of the other being there.
HISTORICAL TIMES
The assembled debris shapes a new face in the soil abandoned for centuries; the leaf flies, veil, transparent, reticular, it weaves the diadem of the naked queen and the habit of the naked king. Who remain naked.
The mask-works will not pass into the heritage, neither of wood, bones or shells, intertwining the pure lineaments of the plant, modeling the wax which perspires in the sun, they invent an identity of the moment, infinitely vulnerable …
It’s that they show off the scary mouth of the present.
